Homeschooling Day in the Life: Homeschooling Mom of Four, on a Journey Between Teens and Toddlers

Day in the life Karyn

A homeschool day in the life looks different almost every day, right? Over on our Instagram page, we love to give you a peek into lots of homeschool days regardless of how they change day to day.

Today, we’re going to give you a peek into the homeschool day in the life of Karyn, homeschooling mom to four children, on a journey between teens and toddlers!

We can all learn and be inspired by one another, regardless of our homeschool approach. It’s not about looking good for social media, it’s about the connection going on inside our homeschool walls and sharing with others what works for us.We might all homeschool a little differently, but we can always look for ideas from each other that inspire, encourage and equip us in our own homeschool days. So each week we create blog posts for you to access later of each of those “days in the life”. We hope you keep coming back for more inspiration. Keep going, mama! These days at home are so worth it!

God has them on a journey between Teens and Toddlers. Biology books and bassinettes. Prom and pasi withdrawal. College applications and crib transitions. Drivers Ed. and Daniel Tiger. Post secondary and potty training… the list could go on, but it’s one day at a time.

Morning To-Do

Morning Karyn

We are up and checking off the morning to do’s. I swap childcare with another mama on Wednesdays mornings so my little one has been picked up and we are starting morning time. Get help mamas. We all need it!

Time to Move

Co op and lunch are done! Extra school work is done, and now it’s time to move! Boys need movement to learn!! We have so many swings, exercise balls, spinning chairs, instruments and games. My bigger boys lift weights, run and still wrestle. Keep those boys moving!

On Teenagers

Teenagers

Don’t be afraid of teenagers! I used to be but this season has been such a blessing. There’s so much fruit you get to enjoy from pouring in through the little years. Stay up late with them (drink more coffee needed) have their friends over, ask so many questions, help them pursue their passions, love what they love, be silly and pray pray pray. You got this mama! Get shoes in your entry way, they don’t care about your decor or cleanliness even. Break out all the treats and open your heart. This is the next generation. I’m cheering you on!

Wrapping Up School

Today has been a ball. Ha! Here’s my 12 year old rolling while we read history. If you have boys get some exercise balls, one of those big net swings, a mini trampoline, light sabers and just let them go for it. Thanks for following along. My account is @karyn_opal if you want to stay in touch. Keep up the good work mamas. It makes an eternal difference! One day at a time.

Thank you Karyn for sharing your Day in the Life with us!
